    Bishop Heelan upsets top-seeded Wahlert Catholic 6-3, advancing to 3A State Championship game

    CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCAU) – The #4 Bishop Heelan Crusaders broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the top of the seventh inning, putting an exclamation mark on a 6-3 victory over #1 Wahlert Catholic.

    Hunter Wahuob notched a team-high two hits while George Tsiobanos recorded two RBI. Kaleb LaFavor earned the win on the mound with three strikeouts in six innings.

    Bishop Heelan will play the winner of #2 Marion and #3 North Polk on Friday for the 3A State Championship at 5 p.m.
