    US Marshals arrest man in Michigan for murder of Duluth woman

    Authorities have arrested a 34-year-old Duluth murder suspect in Michigan.

    Darrius Plummer, 34, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday, June 26, more than two months after he was charged for the murder of 25-year-old Chantel Moose, who was fatally stabbed April 12 outside of Spurs on First, a bar at 109 W. First St. in Duluth.

    According to the criminal complaint, Plummer was a friend of Moose's ex-boyfriend, and when the two began to argue, Plummer pulled out a "hunting-style" knife, threatening to "stick" anyone who would "run up on [him.]"

    Moose was stabbed by Plummer after she allegedly swung at him. She didn't react until 15 seconds later, according to the bouncer at the bar, at which point she collapsed to the ground, charges state.

    She was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead. The medical examiner determined her cause of death to be from a stab wound to the right side of her chest.

    Plummer fled the scene and and was on the loose until being apprehended on Wednesday. He is now being held without bond at the Andrew C. Baird Detention Facilit y in Wayne, Michigan.
