DUNDEE, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A Dundee man is facing multiple charges after police say he recklessly drove a UTV that had children on board.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Jamie Richardson, 35, was unsafely driving a UTV on private property in the Village of Dundee late on Saturday night. Police say that Richardson purposely swerved toward a golf cart and crashed. Five children were inside the UTV at the time.

Deputies responded to the reported crash at 10:56 p.m. on Aug. 3 and arrested Richardson. He was charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Richardson was released and issued an appearance ticket.

Medical personnel checked all of the people involved in the crash, and no one was injured.
