Zuschak, Billow to marry in August
GREEN — Joseph and Lisa Zuschak of Green and Charles and Patricia Billow of Tallmadge have announced the engagement of their children, Gabriella Zuschak and Nathanael Billow. Nuptial Mass will be celebrated in August at St. Peter Catholic Church in Canton, with the Rev. Richard Pentello and the Rev. David Bridling as celebrants. The family will host a wedding reception following mass at The Reserve at Stone Creek in Jackson. Invitations will be issued for both events.
Kirkwood resident is inducted into Cleveland Guardians Hall of Fame
Aberdeen Heights is celebrating one of their own. An event honoring former MLB player Johnny Goryl will be held at Aberdeen Heights on Thursday Aug. 15, 2024. Aberdeen Heights, a senior living community nestled in the historic Kirkwood suburb, planned the big-league celebration for one of their residents, who resides at the retirement community. Goryl, who is still employed as an advisor to the Cleveland Guardians was recently honored with induction into the club’s Hall of Fame.

Pattison Park was buzzing with the sounds of children playing, food sizzling on the grill, and raffle winners excitedly claiming their prizes. The second annual Summer Safety Family Fun Day, a joint effort of Glenville and East Cleveland, brought together over 400 residents for a day of education, entertainment and community. Organized by Strong Hands United, the event aimed to raise awareness about human trafficking and provide resources to families.
