Coach Tara Backes's softball team hasn't seen any serious competition all weekend at the State Tourney in Evergreen Park. Backes told us the 8 – 10 year old All-Stars beat Twin Rivers – in the early game Saturday – 10 – 0. Ekko Baima had a triple and eight out of eleven players provided hits. Quinn Holman pitched three innings and Maeve Brandt pitched one inning in the four inning game.
Hawthorn Woods Aqua Illinois customers under boil order after water main repair
HAWTHORN WOODS, Ill. - Aqua Illinois has issued a 24-hour boil order for residents in Hawthorn Woods, Kildeer, and parts of Lake County following a water main repair. While water service was not interrupted during the repair, the break impacted the water tower's recharging process, prompting the precautionary measure, Aqua Illinois said in a letter to customers Sunday morning.

Police: Detectives Focus On ‘Past Relationship’ In Arlington Heights Death Investigation
Detectives are focusing on a past relationship between the resident of an Arlington Heights apartment and a man shot dead in that apartment Sunday (July 21), police said.
