Thieves stealing guns from parked vehicles in South Loop, Chicago police warn
Chicago police are warning people about a series of recent thefts from cars parked in the South Loop.ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watchInvestigators said in every case but one, an unsecured firearm was taken from each vehicle.The thieves entered the vehicles by either breaking through the passenger side window or by opening an unlocked door.Police are urging people to take steps to protect their cars and belongings. Loggers Start the Season off Strong!
The Lincoln Land Loggers opened up their season today by hosting the Joliet Wolves where the temperatures rose above 90 degrees. The first half was controlled by the Loggers as they possessed most of the first half on their attacking side of the field. Kaleigh Meyer broke open the scoring in the (11th minute) on a cross from Kinley Richardson. The second goal ( 18th minute) came after Kyndel Moore capitalized on a penalty kick, when Moore was taking down inside the box after getting behind the defense on a through ball from Sophia Smith. Sophia Smith would then find a goal (30th minute) of her own on a drop pass from the end line by Tatyana Mehundrew. Kyndel Moore found her second goal (31st minute) of the game by getting behind the defense and beating the Wolve's Keeper in a one-v-one after a great pass from Makayla Elam.
