Train Station Construction Parking Impact
Approximately 60 parking spaces for the Morton Grove train station will be closed from July 22 through July 30, 2024 for construction work. Concrete curb and sidewalk will be removed and replaced this week. Asphalt patching will be needed where the curb is replaced, and work is scheduled through early next week. Free household hazardous waste collection on July 27
The City of Evanston has partnered with the Village of Skokie to offer a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection event to residents from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, at the Niles North High School North Parking Lot. Backes told us the 8 – 10 year old All-Stars beat Twin Rivers – in the early game Saturday – 10 – 0. Ekko Baima had a triple and eight out of eleven players provided hits.
