Legal Notice: West Chicago Park District To Hold Public Hearing To Receive Public Comments On Proposal To Sell Tax Park Bonds
The President and Board of Park Commissioners of the West Chicago Park District, Illinois will hold a public hearing on August 13, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. The hearing will be held at the ARC Center, 201 W. National Street, in West Chicago, Illinois. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the proposal to sell general obligation limited tax park bonds in an amount not to exceed $750,000 for the purpose of (I) paying debt service on the District’s outstanding: (A) Series 2015A Bonds that were used to (i) advance refund a portion of the District’s outstanding 2009 Bonds, (ii) current refund the District’s outstanding 2014 Debt Certificates, and (iii) finance certain capital projects within the District, (B) Series 2015B Bonds that were used to advance refund a portion of the District’s outstanding 2009 Bonds, (C) Series 2017 that were issued to finance certain capital projects in the District, including the construction of a sports performance facility and improvements to the District’s Turtle Splash Park, and (D) Series 2023 that were issued to finance the payment of land condemned or purchased for parks, for the building, maintaining, improving and protecting of the same and the existing land and facilities of the District, and (II) paying costs of issuance of said limited tax park bonds. 73% of Hourly Employers Intend To Offer Same-Day Wage Payments
Same-day pay for hourly workers is not only top-of-mind for employees, but many employers—73% in a new Onbe survey—think so, too, enough for many to begin planning for it. Buffalo Grove, Ill.-based corporate payouts platform Onbe says that is one finding from its 2024 Same Day Pay Survey. Released Monday, the survey also found that 70% of hourly employees would like same-day wage payments. Of the 339 employers and managers surveyed, 87% of them think their employees would be excited about not having to wait for a week or two to be paid.

Julia battled a number of difficult health issues these last several years; her family may now take solace in the fact that her pain is no more.

Backes told us the 8 – 10 year old All-Stars beat Twin Rivers – in the early game Saturday – 10 – 0. Ekko Baima had a triple and eight out of eleven players provided hits. Quinn Holman pitched three innings and Maeve Brandt pitched one inning in the four inning game.

While water service was not interrupted during the repair, the break impacted the water tower's recharging process, prompting the precautionary measure, Aqua Illinois said in a letter to customers Sunday morning.
