Gas spilled leaking fuel into sewer system in Hebron
Following a Monday morning gas spill at the Fast Stop gas station in Hebron, fuel has leaked into the sewer system, Hebron police Chief Juanita Gumble said. Gumble said the police department was called to the scene around 7:45 or 8 a.m. Monday, and she was told about 100 gallons spilled. She said there were about 600 parts per million of gasoline in the water when it was tested at the treatment plant.

No injuries reported from a house fire Sunday evening in Lake in the Hills that broke out near an electrical service meter, officials report. The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District responded to a call at 7:20 p.m. to the 1200 block of Pine Street for a house fire.
