Treynor's Osborn crowned Westfair Queen

The Wheelers (29-5) went toe-to-toe with Van Meter (43-1), but a sixth-inning home run from eighth-grader Mady Schnell doomed Audubon in a 5-3 loss.

(Red Oak) -- Red Oak officials say everything fell into place as they welcomed a surge of cyclists to town earlier this week. After beginning with an Expo in Glenwood Saturday, riders on the Des Moines Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa pedaled through Silver City, Henderson, and Emerson before arriving in Red Oak Sunday. Red Oak Mayor Shawnna Silvius tells KMA News cyclists began rolling in at around 7 a.m. before a steady stream of riders arrived through the late morning and early afternoon.
