Electrical malfunction in vehicle leads to hospitalization of seven teenagers, sheriff says
A single-vehicle car crash in Dunlap in which the vehicle suffered from an electrical issue has led to the hospitalization of seven teenagers with varying injuries. Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins said that at 2:45 a.m. Monday deputies were called to the 11800 block of North Hickory Grove Road to respond to a crash. When they arrived, they found a vehicle with seven teenagers inside – five boys and two girls.
East Peoria fatal crash victim identified by coroner
EAST PEORIA, Ill. – A 16-year-old girl from Washington has been identified as the victim in a single-vehicle fatal crash early Monday morning. Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley says Avery Grazier was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Springfield Road, south of Muller, just after 3:15 A.M.

New Illinois Law Requires Weather Radios In Certain Homes
It's been a rough tornado season and a new Illinois law is taking aim at that. We can all agree it's been a messy summer. In the Chicago area alone last week, there were 33 tornadoes, compared to their usual 5 or 6 per year. With the derecho that moved through last week, 5 tornadoes rolled through the QCA. In Iowa, May was ridiculous. We average 11 tornadoes in May. But this year, we had over 80 tornadoes in May alone.
