That makes 26 days for the spring-summer season with the promise for 40 before the kids hit the football gridiron by early September. Local Restauranteur Claims First Business in Cybersecurity Institute
A local restaurant owner is bringing another piece of his family’s history to Marshall University with the opening of his second restaurant on campus. Ralph Hagy, owner of La Famiglia in the Memorial Student Center and on 6th Avenue, will open Via Lombarda, a Mediterranean market, in the new Cybersecurity Institute set to open in the fall of 2026.

Wednesday downpours to be a factor
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -In the middle of a summer on the verge of drought, Wednesday offers the risk of two waves of rain and pockets of high water. Going into the day, most areas are still lacking in rain and streams are running lower than normal. But select areas in the Coalfields did measure important 1″-2″ rainfalls during Tuesday evening’s action, so these are regions are at a higher risk for water issues than others should new downpours develop and linger on Wednesday.

Herd ace hosts baseball camp in hometown
LOUISA, Ky. (WSAZ) - In baseball terms, the first year of the Bryce Blevins camp was equivalent to throwing a no-hitter. Over 100 kids ranging from Hurricane, WV to various locations in the Commonwealth showed up Tuesday to learn from the Marshall pitcher. Blevins won the Sun Belt pitcher of the week four times last season for the Herd and WSAZ Sports stopped by and visited with the Marshall star in his hometown.
