Naperville Man Arrested Following Alleged Sexual Assault at DuPage Crisis Center
Wheaton, IL – A Naperville man has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault at the DuPage County Crisis Center. According to Wheaton Police Chief Princeton Youker, officers responded to a call at the center at 115 N. County Farm Road around 11:27 p.m. on June 19. The victim reported being awakened by the assault and notified staff after the suspect fled.
Naperville man charged with sex assault at DuPage Co. Crisis Center
A 34-year-old Naperville man was ordered detained Saturday after his arrest on accusations he sexually assaulted a woman at the DuPage County Crisis Center in Wheaton. Lonny Bracey faces a charge of criminal sexual assault stemming from an investigation launched late Wednesday, when Wheaton police were dispatched to the center, 115 N. County Farm Road, to investigate the alleged assault.
Bloomingdale Man Gets 50 Years For Killing Nephew
DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin announced that a Bloomingdale man accused of killing his nephew in 2020 has been sentenced to fifty years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. 54-year old Dominick Taylor formerly of 223 Freeport Drive in Bloomingdale, appeared in court yesterday morning where Judge Brian Telander handed down the sentence.
Two Men Accused Of Fleeing From Police In Custody
Law enforcement in DuPage County continues their efforts to arrest, charge, and hold accountable anyone accused of attempting to flee from the police. On Juneteenth, one defendant from Chicago appeared in court where Judge Christine Cody granted the State’s motion to detain the defendant pre-trial, and yesterday morning, Judge Cody granted the State’s motion to detain pre-trial a man, also from Chicago for fleeing from the police on Wednesday afternoon.
Man sentenced to 50 years for killing disabled nephew
A former Bloomingdale man who strangled his blind nephew has been sentenced to 50 years in prison. Dominick Taylor, 54, pleaded guilty in February to one count of first-degree murder stemming from the death of Damian B. Scott, who had physical and mental disabilities and was unable to walk. Taylor was Scott’s primary caregiver, according to the DuPage County state’s attorney’s office.

National Weather Service predicts hazardous weather this evening
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook late Saturday afternoon for north central and northeast Illinois including Kane, DuPage and Cook counties. A social media post from the NWS’ Romeoville office noted a squall line “is expected to move over northern Illinois tonight and sweep toward the southeast into early Sunday morning.”

Washington St., Reed-Keppler Park, Fremont and West National St.; and Kline Creek Farm, 1N600 County Farm Road.
McHenry man pleads guilty to meth possession, gets 9 years in prison
A McHenry man pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing 100 to 400 grams of methamphetamine and was sentenced to nine years in prison. Police initially went to the home of Luis E. Rangel, 28, the morning of April 7, 2022, as part of a DuPage County murder investigation. Rangel was not charged in that alleged murder, but during the search of the home authorities found 447 grams of methamphetamine, 4,537 grams of marijuana, a sawed-off shotgun and a rifle that didn’t have a serial number, prosecutors said in court documents filed in the McHenry County court.
