    Be sure to ring in the fall season at these three pumpkin patches in and around Duplin County.

    Fall is quickly approaching and North Carolina is getting into the spirit of the season. Pumpkin patches in and around Duplin County have opened their gates, inviting families to embrace autumn. From picking the perfect pumpkin to enjoying hayrides and corn mazes, these local spots provide the ultimate fall experience.

    Cinderella Farms — Wallace, NC

    Located in Wallace, Cinderella Farms offers a day of fall festivities perfect for the whole family. Visitors can choose from their heirloom variety pumpkins or hop on a hayride. The farm also hosts field trips for local preschools, ensuring that even the youngest visitors can experience the joy of autumn.

    Cinderella Farms, a family-owned business that opened in 2007, features sausage wraps and cookies from other small businesses on weekends, adding to the community feel.

    Hubb’s Farm — Clinton, NC

    In Clinton, Hubb’s Farm is worth the drive for its wide array of fall activities. Open year-round for various tours and events, Hubb’s Farm launches its Fall Festival, Corn Maze, and Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, September 21st, running through Saturday, November 2nd. The farm will be open Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, Saturdays in September and November from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, Saturdays in October from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and other dates may be reserved for large groups, public schools, and special events.

    In addition to the Fall Festival, Hubb’s Farm offers educational tours year-round, with five themed field trips available this season: Farm Trails, Pumpkin Power, Gem Dandy, Nature Trail, and NC Farm Escapes. They also offer customizable tours to meet group objectives. These tour range in activities so folks of all ages can find their perfect tour.

    For example, Farm Trails, is a self-guided tour perfect for kids even as young as preschool age. It includes a tractor wagon ride, the Storybook Trail, Animal Acres, the Crops of Fun Play Land, a corn maze and more.

    On the other end, NC Farm Escapes is a great option for teens and adults alike. Participants can choose from the three options to customize their perfect day at Hubb’s Farms.

    Option A: Pioneer Escape Trail: A 1.5 to 2-hour adventure using clues and a lock book. Tickets for this adventure are $35 per person, with group rates available.Option B: Maze Mania: Groups compete to find all the checkpoints in the corn maze. This adventure is $15 per person.Option C: Black River Kayaking: Paddle the Great Coharie River for 1.5 hours, with Hubb’s Farm providing kayak rentals and shuttle services. This will cost $45 per person and waivers will be required.

    Amber Dale’s Pumpkin Patch — Wilmington, NC

    In Wilmington, Amber Dale’s Pumpkin Patch is now open for the season, offering pumpkins, hardy mums, and professional photography services for those looking to capture their fall memories. Open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

    Amber Dale’s operates from mid-September through mid-December, with a short break during the first three weeks of November. Be sure to come back to get into the Christmas season as Amber Dale’s also sells trees, wreaths, and garlands.

    Whether you’re looking for a grand adventure through corn mazes or a simple pumpkin-picking outing, these Duplin County-area pumpkin patches have something for everyone. With so many options close to home, you’re sure to find the perfect fall destination for your family.
