Dushore, Pa. — A convicted felon allegedly told police he didn’t know his criminal history would prevent him from buying a gun.

Justin Pajski, 28, is now facing another felony charge after he lied on a gun application while trying to buy a .357 Ruger from a shop in Dushore last August, police say. Pajski admitted he’d gone to Pigs Tail Guns, 123 Farrells Road, and filled out the ATF background check form. On it, Pajski answered “No” to the question asking if he’d ever been convicted of a felony, according to Trp. Ryan Joyce of state police at Laporte.

Pajski was arrested in 2016 for carrying a firearm without a license and was convicted the following May, according to court records.

The application was denied, but Pajski believed it was because he has a medical marijuana card, he told Joyce. His answer to that question on the ATF form was another violation, Joyce noted.

Pajski, Sinking Spring, was charged with two felony counts of making false statements to purchase a firearm.
