Families from near and far traveled to Vernal over the weekend for the thrill of girls softball. Tragically, one family that enjoyed the weekend of competition in Vernal suffered a fatal car crash on their journey back home to Mancos in southwest Colorado. The Hurst family includes Derick and Shay Hurst and their 6 children. The fatal car crash happened outside of Moab in which both Derick and Shay Hurst and their 3-month-old baby were killed. One son was airlifted to Salt Lake City and one was transported to an area hospital. A close family friend created a GoFundMe page to benefit the 5 children moving forward and to help with the expenses of the 3 funerals. New BYU Creamery on Ninth East Building
Brigham Young University announced plans to construct a new Creamery on Ninth building. The new building will be located on the west side of the parking lot of the current Creamery on Ninth.
