Rome residents can soon apply for money from $1 million-plus recovery fund
Rome, N.Y. — Rome residents harmed by severe thunderstorms and a tornado that plowed through the city last week can soon apply to a recovery fund, officials said. About $175,000 has already been raised for the Rome Victims Recovery Fund, according to Anthony Picente Jr., the Oneida County executive. The county plans to contribute $1 million, he said.
Syracuse residents can now buy a second trash cart from city if one isn't enough
Syracuse, N.Y. — If the 96-gallon trash cart Syracuse households received last year isn’t big enough, residents will soon be able to get a second container.
