    Crivitz 3, Oneida Nation 0

CRIVITZ — Make it three victories in a row for the Crivitz High School girls volleyball team after the Lady Wolverines notched a 3-0 sweep of Oneida Nation on Tuesday.

Crivitz (10-2 Marinette and Oconto Conference, 13-6 overall) has not dropped a set since falling 3-1 to Niagara on October 1, a string of nine consecutive matches.

Against the Lady Thunderhawks, Crivitz opened matters with an overwhelming 25-8 victory before Oneida Nation made matters much tighter in set two, despite the Lady Wolverines prevailing 25-22.

Not wanting the Lady Thunderhawks to continue building steam, Crivitz slammed the door shut with a 25-13 decision in set three, securing the sweep in the process.

Kiya Brand tallied a team-high 28 assists while adding an ace and nine digs for the Lady Wolverines. Megan Pusick collected a pair of blocks to go with six kills and two digs, while Izzy Wesoloski fired off six aces.

    Coleman 3, STAA 0

COLEMAN — The Coleman High School girls volleyball team ran its winning streak up to seven with a 3-0 sweep of Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy on Tuesday.

The Cougars (10-1 M&O, 16-6 overall) handily took the opening set 25-8 but the Cavalettes (0-9 M&O, 0-11 overall) were able to make the ensuing sets a much more competitive affair, even though Coleman won both, 25-14 and 25-18, respectively.

Tuesday marked STAA’s 35th consecutive loss. The Cavalettes last victory came on September 29, 2022 when STAA swept White Lake 3-0.

Larissa Sailer notched a team-high six aces for Coleman. Ella Van Ermen had nine assists, four kills and two aces, while Ava Zeitler and Vivian Kostreva both had one dig.

STAA did not report any stats at press time.
