M&M Medical Transport program fills a need
MARINETTE — Senior citizens in the cities of Marinette and Menominee have another option to get to and from their medical appointments. Marinette County Elderly Services (MCES), a nonprofit organization, launched the Marinette/Menominee Medical Transport program on Jan. 5. Teen boy dies in motorcycle-vehicle accident
MARINETTE — A 16-year-old male died Thursday night in a motorcycle-vehicle accident near the intersection of Marinette and Cleveland avenues in Marinette. A 911 call was received shortly before 9 p.m., according to the Marinette Police Department. The 16-year-old, who was driving the motorcycle, was struck by a motor vehicle, according to the MPD. He was transported to a medical facility where he later was pronounced dead because of injuries sustained in the accident. Several agencies responded to the scene to assist including: The Marinette Police Department, Marinette Fire Department, Aurora Medical Center- Bay Area EMS personnel, Marinette Emergency Rescue Squad, Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.
