Football Game Recap: El Segundo Comes Up Short
If El Segundo was feeling good off their 56-12 takedown of Sierra Vista last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The game between the El Segundo Eagles and the Peninsula Panthers wasn't particularly close, with the El Segundo Eagles falling 28-14. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 565th, while the Panthers are ranked 279th).

St. Paul is Back; Beats Bishop Amat
(Santa Fe Springs) – St. Paul scored first and never relinquished the lead and went on to beat Bishop Amat 21-12 Friday night at The Pit at St. Paul. The win was the first time St. Paul has beaten Bishop Amat since 2000.
