WATERTOWN MAN CHARGED WITH RECKLESS HOMICIDE IN OVERDOSE DEATH. Dodge County prosecutors have charged 20-year-old Dayton Grunewald of Watertown with first-degree reckless homicide stemming from an overdose death. According to the criminal complaint Watertown Police were dispatched to a residence in the city in December of 2022. When EMS arrived they found the victim dead of a suspected opiate overdose. The cause of death was later confirmed to be from fentanyl toxicity. Detectives were able to link the victim to Grunewald through video of the victim getting into a white Subaru Grunewald drives and messages between them. Grunewald will make his initial court appearance on September 16th.
Afternoon storms cause power outages, downed trees in northern suburbs
WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- An afternoon storm barreled through the north suburbs Tuesday, knocking down tree limbs and leaving a number of people without power. Dark, ominous clouds and strong winds whipped things around in Grafton. In Brookfield, the windy storm knocked down trees, like one at 138th and Capitol Drive.
