Ramey tabbed as new Mingo Central volleyball coach
NEWTOWN – Matewan native Crystal Ramey has been tabbed as the new Mingo Central High School volleyball coach. Ramey, also a Mingo Central High School teacher since the school's inception in 2011, replaces outgoing Coach Kristy Noe, who resigned at the end of last season after two years as the Lady Miners' mentor.

Niesha Griffith, MS, RPh, FASHP will lead oncology services for all CAMC cancer center locations including Beckley, Charleston and Hurricane. COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Bob Marcum, who served as athletic director at Kansas, South Carolina, UMass and Marshall, has died a few days after suffering a stroke. He was 87. South Carolina, UMass and Marshall’s athletic departments all announced Marcum’s death Wednesday, a day after he died. Arkansas coach John Calipari, who worked under Marcum at Massachusetts, posted on social media Sunday that Marcum was hospitalized after complications from a stroke.
