CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A West Virginia Public Service Commission probe of a water leak that led to a massive natural gas service interruption in Charleston's West Side last November found no indication of a systemic failure by the West Virginia American Water Company. Some are puzzled by the findings after a similar PSC staff report also took Mountaineer Gas off the hook.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A Kanawha County grand jury handed down an indictment against a man charged with the shooting death of a Charleston woman in December 2023. Dominick Gray, of Columbus, was indicted on July 26 on charges of first degree murder, using a gun during a felony, malicious wounding and being a convicted felon with a gun.

Kanawha County man convicted on federal robbery and gun charges, prosecutors say
CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Kanawha County man faces a 10 year minimum sentence after he was convicted of federal robbery and firearms charges, prosecutors say. Camri Calrissian White, 25, of Cross Lanes, was convicted on charges of robbery, shooting a firearm during a violent crime and being a felon in possession of a gun in connection to the robbery of a convenience store in his hometown in July 2023, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of West Virginia.
