EAST BROOKFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Thirteen Malinois puppies are available for adoption for those qualified with this type of breed.

According to Second Chance Animal Services, their adoption center in East Brookfield is accepting applications for these puppies after a local pet owner rescued their pregnant mother earlier this year.

The organization is looking for those who have experience in the Malinois breed, as they are high-energy and thrive on physical and mental stimulation. They say this breed are often employed in roles such as police work, search and rescue, and protection due to their strong work ethic and trainability.

“We are dedicated to finding the best possible homes for these wonderful puppies,” said Wendy Hall, Second Chance Animal Relocation Director. “Given the unique needs of the Malinois breed, we are looking for adopters who have the experience and commitment to provide the appropriate environment and care. They will do best in homes with ample space to run and play and are not well-suited for apartment living unless their exercise and stimulation needs can be met.”

If you are interested in adopting a Malinois puppy, those qualified who submit the adoption survey online by June 29th will be able to meet the puppies on July 3rd.
