Carbon High School senior Bradley Sweeney has been named Eastern Utah Community Credit Union’s Athlete of the Week for his performance in the cross country season opener on Saturday, August 10. Sweeney and the Dinos opened the 2024 campaign at the Premier Invitational at the Cottonwood Complex in Salt Lake City. Sweeney elevated his individual performance to grab 10th place overall, helping Carbon take home first place as a team by one point over Grantsville. Sweeney talked about his stellar performance, off-season preparation, what track and field means to him and his senior year as a student at Carbon High School. Eastern Utah Community Credit Union is teaming with Castle Country Radio to highlight a specific athlete each week, who has accomplished great feats, both in the field of play and in the classroom.
