Heavy police presence on Madison Avenue follows afternoon shooting
Police are asking a person to come out of a Madison Avenue building, hours after a shooting near the Madison Deli Saturday afternoon. According to police, there was a shots-fired call in the vicinity at about 4:45 p.m. They say a 27-year-old adult male victim "self-transported" to Albany Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the buttocks. The victim is receiving treatment and is in stable condition.
