See who’s qualifying for Town of Clinton mayor, alderman races in East Feliciana Parish
EAST FELICIANA PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – Candidates for mayor and alderman in the Town of Clinton can start qualifying for the Nov. 5 election on Wednesday. The qualifying period for candidates is 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from July 17-19. Local and municipal candidates qualify with the clerk of court in the parish they are registered for. Federal and state candidates qualify at the Louisiana State Archives.

CLINTON — A grand jury in the Felicianas has indicted a man on first-degree murder in the 2012 killing of a man whose body was found in the trunk of a car in Baton Rouge. There was a yearslong delay in proceedings amid questions over which prosecutors had jurisdiction.
