Texas A&M hires Indiana native Michael Earley as baseball coach
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Texas A&M has hired Michael Earley to take over as the 21st baseball coach at the school. Earley, an Anderson High School graduate, was the hitting coach for the Aggies for the past three seasons, helping the team to two College World Series appearances and a national runner-up finish in 2024.

Washington — Rep. Victoria Spartz, an Indiana Republican, has been charged with a weapons violation for bringing a handgun in her luggage to Dulles International Airport in Virginia. In a statement, a spokesperson for Spartz said the congresswoman "accidentally carried an empty handgun in her suitcase with no magazine or bullets, which she did not realize was in the pocket of her suitcase, while going through security at Dulles airport."
