Chateau Coffee Co to Open Second Location this Fall

Michigan State University graduate Tarek Chawich is ready to grow his business. Two years after opening the flagship Chateau Coffee Co location off South Waverly Road, Chawich is now working on a second location in Okemos , anticipated to open some time in the fall. This news was first seen in Lansing State Journal .

The new location will occupy a 1,800-square-foot space at 2359 W. Grand River Ave , on the east/west retail corridor between Okemos and East Lansing. The space was previously occupied by a gift shop and is only nine minutes away from the East Lansing Amtrak Location. Chawich intends to build out a new dining area in the shell space, as well as kitchen and plumbing upgrades.

Chateau Coffee Co is a tribute to Chawich’s Lebanese heritage and serves Arabic coffee, pastries, bagels and sandwiches. Accoridng to the Lansing State Journal coverage, the second location’s menu will have the same offerings, including all the favorites from the first location such as the shop’s Château mocha and the monthly seasonal coffee flights that come with four different coffee drinks in each.

“It’ll have the same offerings but be more personalized and unique to that community,” Chawich told Lansing State Journal.
