East Lyme ― Tables full of family members and friends filled the barn of Brookside Farm Museum during a children’s tea event at the historical house museum on Wednesday.

This was the first tea for kids event at the farm, but Wanda Stazick, with the Friends of Brookside Farm Museum, said she hoped to make it an annual event.

“We’re trying to get people to know we’re here and introduce them to the farm.” she said of the group’s mission.

Upcoming events include an Irish music concert in August and a trivia night in September. The friends group is also looking for volunteers to help with the events and property. See brooksidefarmmuseum.com for more details.
