National law firm relocates LI office to larger space in East Meadow

A national law firm has relocated its Long Island office from Garden City to East Meadow.

Wilson Elser, a defense litigation firm, has moved to a 13,357-square-foot office on the seventh floor of 90 Merrick Avenue. The new location is more than double the firm’s previous 5,585-square-foot-space, and is designed to accommodate a larger workforce.

“The firm is growing, and we are actively recruiting attorney talent in the New York metro area,” Wilson Elser's New York Metro Regional Managing Partner Patrick Geraghty told Long Island Business News.

“We are confident the location and additional space in the Long Island office will appeal to potential candidates at the same time allowing the firm to accommodate our current attorneys and clients in the region,” added Geraghty, who oversees the firm’s Long Island, New York City and White Plains offices.

The CLK Properties building is near the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and Nassau Coliseum, with close access to the region’s major highways. The office, according to Wilson Elser, was designed to maximize the natural light that flows through both the private offices and workstations.

More than 400 attorneys currently work at the firm’s New York offices, with 29 attorneys and nine administrative staff in East Meadow.

The firm offers an online tool with a hoteling reservation system that is accessed by attorneys and staff through mobile devices or through an app on their computers. With this tool, attorneys from the firm’s offices have seamless capabilities while on Long Island.

Wilson Elser has offices in 27 states and in Washington D.C.

The firm selected its new East Meadow office space through the Chicago office of Savills.
