A Blisteringly Active Month for New York State Law Enforcement
No one can say for sure what it was, maybe it was the seemingly the never-ending heat wave combined with overwhelming humidity or maybe it was some other extemporaneous factors, but the point remains that the month of July while not technically not over yet, was a wildly active month for members of New York State's law enforcement.

THE GANGS OF NEW YORK REVIEW
GROSVENOR PARK OPEN AIR THEATRE, CHESTER – SATURDAY 31ST AUGUST 2024. Last night, I revisited the purpose-built outdoor theatre located in the lovely Grosvenor Park in Chester. This picturesque setting is once again hosting a season of live storytelling this summer, under the stars. One of the three performances this year is an adaptation of “The Gangs of New York” by award-winning writer Kieran Lynn and directed by John Young. This production is based on the iconic 1928 non-fiction book by Herbert Asbury, rather than the 2002 film by Martin Scorsese. The show tells a tale of the American Dream, fierce rivalries in New York’s notorious Five Points neighbourhood, and includes elements of humour and romance.

Gov. Hochul not only killed a revenue source for the MTA when she canceled congestion pricing — she also squandered the expansion of business-friendly, car-free streets that could have been achieved once more than 100,000 cars were banished from Lower Manhattan every day. The “Gridlock” governor claimed she was...
Fordham Rd. Still Hell for Bus Riders After Mayor Adams Scrubbed a Better Road Design
Mayor Adams decision to shelve plans for an upgraded bus lane to Fordham Road last year has had a predictable result: buses on the crosstown Bronx route are still crawling at the same slow speed. Buses on the congested commercial corridor in the Bronx are moving barely faster than 5...

In what would have originally seemed as an odd tour grouping, Counting Crows and Santana have embarked on a summer tour across North America playing a total of 29 shows.
