An Illinois woman drowned in the Big River in Jefferson County on Tuesday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 33-year-old Guadalude L. Lopez of Madison, Illinois, entered the water at Rockford Park around 1 p.m., went under the surface and was unable to resurface due to her swimming ability.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Tuesday for leading police on a chase as an armed felon in 2021. According to a release, Antonio Williams, 33, of Ferguson, Mo., pleaded guilty in April to two felony counts of conspiring to possess a weapon by a felon.

Crews rescue dog from Ferguson storm sewer
FERGUSON, Mo. — Ferguson firefighters and Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District employees came together for a special rescue mission Monday. According to the Ferguson Fire Department, crews with Aerial 3015 responded Monday morning to the report of a dog trapped in a storm sewer in the 300 block of Mueller Avenue. When firefighters arrived, MSD had already removed the manhole cover to save the dog.
