    Easthampton Police Chief Robert Alberti retiring early

    EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Easthampton Police Chief Robert Alberti is retiring.

    The mayor’s office told 22News that he’s decided to retire early due to health reasons. He originally announced last month that he would retire in November.

    The mayor says it’s a choice they respect. and they wish him the best going forward. Chief Alberti has served in the Easthampton police department for nearly two and a half decades and has been chief since 2016.
