PCPD program aims to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Panama City Police Department is participating in the Florida Department of Transportation High Visibility Enforcement Program. The goal of the program is to educate the community on Florida’s traffic laws to improve safety for all motorists, bicyclists, motorists, and pedestrians on roads in Panama City. PCPD’s participation in this program begins July 25, 2024, and will run until May 2025, according to a press release from the Police Department.
Father faces charges after police discover 2-month-old baby died from eating bath salts
The father of a two-month-old baby is facing charges after the boy died from eating bath salts at the beginning of the year. Brandon Gavin, 40, was arrested Thursday on a charge of aggravated manslaughter of a child. He is being held in the Leon County Detention Facility without bond.
