EASTPOINTE (WWJ) -- Two men suspected in an early morning drive-by shooting in Macomb County are now in police custody after a standoff.

Eastpointe Police said its officers responded at around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday to 911 calls from a home at Forest and Phlox Ave., south of 10 Mile Rd. near Gratiot Ave.

WDIV-TV said a man was reportedly firing multiple shots into the home due to an ongoing dispute between him and his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend.

There were multiple people inside the house at the time, including six children, but no one was hurt, police said.

Officers followed the two suspect, chasing them to the Americana Estates Mobile Home Park in Casco Township, where they ran inside a home.

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office said its deputies, a K9, SWAT team, Macomb County Sheriff's deputies, and Richmond Police all responded to the assist.

As officers approached and surrounded the home, a man walked out armed with a rifle, along with a second man and a woman.

The sheriff's office said the two men ran back into the house, while the woman stayed outside and spoke with officers.

Eventually, after negotiations, both men surrendered to law enforcement without incident, sheriff's officials said.

No one was injured, and both suspects were turned over to the Eastpointe PD.

"Thank you to the assisting departments in resolving this situation safely," the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office said.

The names of the two men in custody were not immediately released, with charges pending.
