    Interesting and so true. So many times diabetics were average or under weight and people with higher BMI's were stronger and more fit.

    Obesity is definitely a health issue. I think the article could have said that while reminding people who are not obese that they still subject to health issues, particularly as they age. People who are at an appropriate weight can still have hypertension, diabetes, unhealthy behaviors that increase cancer risks, and high cholesterol. They can still have hereditary factors. That doesn't let obese people off the hook for increasing their health risk. It also doesn't immune people of healthy weights from practicing other good health practices and regularly seeing their doctor.
