Eau Claire bridges undergo $1.04 million rehab to address deterioration

EAU CLAIRE (WKBT) -- Rehab work on Eau Claire bridges begins Monday.

According to the Wisconsin DOT, the $1.04 million project will address deterioration on bridges carrying WIS 93 traffic over I-94.

During construction, north and south bound lanes will be down to single lanes.

During the first two stages, the entrance ramp to I-94 west will be closed.

In the third stage, the northbound bridge's passing lane will remain open for vehicles. The passing lane will be open to pedestrians as sidewalk repairs are made.

Fiber wrapping of bridge piers will cause lane closures on I-94, the DOT said.

The project is expected to wrap up in mid-November. For more information on the project, click or tap here.
