    Fatal motorcycle crash in Eau Claire claims the life of 18-year-old

    18-year-old dead in motorcycle crash

    EAU CLAIRE (WKBT) -- One is dead following a motorcycle versus SUV crash Thursday.

    According to the Eau Claire Police Department, around 5:00 p.m. a motorcycle headed west on Clairemont Avenue collided with an SUV turning left onto Clairmont from a frontage road.

    The motorcycle's rider, 18-year-old Payton Leisz, was killed in the crash.

    The SUV's driver was hospitalized with unknown injuries, though police say they are expected to recover.

    The crash remains under investigation. Police say there are no charges resulting from the crash at this time.
