First Alert Weather: A dry, but hot and humid final weekend of July
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Here we are already approaching the end of July, but so far this summer has spared us from any consistent heat and humidity. That statistic may be changing just a bit as the forecast calls for above average temperatures and fairly high dew points through this weekend and much of next week. If you have outdoor plans today or tomorrow there is little chance for any rain, while sunshine will dominate overall. A front will be making some inroads towards the state tomorrow, so by the evening hours and into the night we will have at least a chance for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. Given this will be one of the hotter days we’ve seen this summer, if you will be outdoors for an extended period of time, remember to stay hydrated and find some shady areas to stay out of the direct sun. Heat indexes this afternoon are forecast to be in the low to mid 90s, while dropping just a bit tomorrow, down just shy of 90 degrees.
