What’s In Their Cup? Celebs Share What They’ve Been Drinking All Summer Long

There are only a few more weeks of summer to enjoy your favorite libations. EBONY spoke with actors at the Summer 2024 Television Critics Conference in Pasadena, California, to find out what drinks have kept them cool and hydrated all season long!

Jaylen Barron

"My favorite drink of the summer would have to be a Lychee Martini," said Barron, who's starring in the upcoming American Sports Story on FX. "If you ask me on a deeper level as to why: it’s refreshing and sweet, and it makes you feel like you are drinking something healthy. I mean, am I? Or am I slowly becoming a hotter version of myself with it in my right hand and my girls sitting next to me!"

Dennis Haysbert and Ser'Darius Blain

Blain, who stars with Haysbert in the first Hallmark+ holiday series, Holidazed , revealed it's "a Gold Rush: gold whiskey with a brown sugar cube or a hint of honey-squeezed lime. It's fresh and electric." For Haysbert: "I don't drink that much anymore, so give me a ginger beer with some bitters. It tastes like a cocktail, so I'm good."

Tetona Jackson

"It's a rotation: water, then coffee, and the occasional drink on the weekend," shared the star of CBS' new comedy series Poppa's House . "I'm a tequila girl, so it's a tequila gimlet on the rocks."

B.J. Britt

"Kool-Aid. When we were growing up, my mom would let us pick two packets, which I thought was just heaven. I'd always go cherry and grape," shared Britt, who stars in Hallmark+'s first guy-oriented romcom, The Groomsmen Trilogy . "There's some in my refrigerator right now. You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out."

Tyla Abercrumbie

"I make Lemonade, but it needs a kick," the CBS NCIS: Origins star shared. "Add some Jack Daniel's Honey Tennessee Whiskey and lots of lemon. It's a nice fuzzy warm feeling for the summer."

Nyambi Nyambi

"What's in my summer cup is ice, crushed ice, and H2O—it's not water, it's H2O," declared the Night Court star, which returns to NBC in the late fall.
