Emily in Paris (Returns August 15, Netflix)

A new gal is on the Seine! Thalia Besson joins season four as Genevieve, Laurent's twenty-something daughter from a past relationship. She's moved from New York City to Paris to start her career and becomes Emily's new confidante. While it should have happened sooner, we're glad we finally get to watch a Black female face traverse this fluffy and fun comedy series set in France.

Reasonable Doubt (Returns August 22, Hulu)

And you thought your friendships were hard to navigate. As Jax Stewart attempts to get her life back on track, one of her closest friends reveals that she has killed her husband. It will take more than a self-defense claim to win this verdict, so Jax brings in an ambitious defense attorney to lead the case. "Jax has learned that she can't do it all, and she's having to make some adjustments," star Emayatzy Corinealdi tells EBONY. "She's trying to traverse this new terrain," which comes in the form of Morris Chestnut, who stars as the new hotshot defense attorney. That's more than enough reason to power down and tune in.

The Killer (Premieres August 23, Peacock)

This reboot of the classic 1989 film features Nathalie Emmanuel as Zee, a mysterious, infamous and feared assassin in the Parisian underworld known as the "Queen of the Dead." When Zee refuses to kill a young blind woman, her decision wipes out her alliances and attracts the attention of a savvy police investigator in the form of The Book of Clarence 's Omar Sy. "You should watch The Killer for the genius of OG [director] John Woo and exciting action grounded in a heartfelt human story," says Emmanuel, adding, "Not to mention the combined badassery of the incomparable Omar and myself.” That's a collision course we will sit down for.

Down in the Valley (Starz)

Hosted and executive-produced by P-Valley star Nicco Annan—your favorite uncle—this documentary series offers viewers a captivating journey through the Deep South and is filled with grit, joy and magic. "Anytime we have a moment to celebrate ourselves and our triumphs, it’s important to note and share it with those behind us, those to come," Annan tells EBONY. "The benefit of doing things on film is it allows us to archive it. So many people think our existence is void of joy and sensuality. We have sensuality in our emotional, spiritual and physical beings, and all can see it.
