Alexandria Offers Free Brownfield Assessments for Commercial Properties
The City of Alexandria, Louisiana is offering a Brownfield Assessment Phase I & II report for commercial property owners at no cost. The report covers environmental concerns such as asbestos, lead-based paint, underground petroleum tanks, and soil contamination. It is recommended to conduct the assessment before committing to a commercial property to avoid potential environmental clean-up costs in the future. ATRANS Reduces Service for Holiday Weekend, Normalizes Sep 3
ATRANS in Alexandria, Louisiana will be running only 3 buses instead of the usual 4 on Friday, August 30th. Route 1 will operate at 6pm and 9pm, Route 2 will run at 7pm and 8pm, and Routes 3 and 4 will run as scheduled. Additionally, on Monday, September 2nd, ATRANS will not be in service due to the Labor Day holiday. Regular day and night services will resume on Tuesday, September 3rd at 6:10am. Karin Jaffie advocates for Chuckwalla National Monument preservation
Karin Jaffie recently gave a presentation at the Morning Insights event about the movement to establish and protect the proposed Chuckwalla National Monument. This initiative aims to preserve the cultural, historical, and recreational significance of the Bradshaw Trail National Back Country Byway. Attendees were encouraged to support the efforts to create the Chuckwalla National Monument. The next Morning Insights event will take place next month.
