Investigation ends with employee resignation
An allegation of an employee drinking on a school-sponsored trip was reported to Odessa High School Principal Anthony Garcia. He assigned it to an assistant principal to investigate and the employee resigned during the investigation, according to information from Ector County ISD. The employee was Alyssa Garcia, daughter of Anthony Garcia.

Bond properties ceremony set
Ector County ISD leaders announced Monday the locations for the new middle school and the new CTE high school are now officially ECISD properties. Superintendent Scott Muri and a few others will be hosting a very brief ceremony at 9 a.m. June 11 as signs go up announcing these sites as the future homes for new schools. There is a lot of work ahead to prepare these locations for building, but this will serve as a kickoff announcement, a news release stated.
Odessan facing aggravated assault charge
A 20-year-old Odessa man was arrested Wednesday night after several people told authorities he fired multiple rounds of a Glock 19 during a dispute with another man. According to an Ector County Sheriff’s Office report, someone called 911 around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday about a man getting out of a car and shooting someone in the 7200 block of West Dunn.
