Eden, N.Y. (WBEN) - In an update from the National Weather Service on Friday night, the tornado that cut a path through the Town of Eden on Wednesday has been upgraded from an EF-0 rating to an EF-2 rating with estimated peak wind speeds of 115 mph.

According to the National Weather Service's report, the tornado first touched down in a field along Jennings Road in Eden near Kickbush Gulf at around 12:40 p.m. ET. It then cut a 3.2-mile swath across the town, crossing major roadways like Jennings Road, Sisson Highway (Route 75) and East Eden Road before dissipating in a nearby field at around 12:46 p.m. ET.

Here is what the National Weather Service's report said about the damage caused by the tornado in Eden on Wednesday:

"Minor tree damage was noted near the intersection of Jennings Road and Kickbush Gulf. Sporadic tree damage extended Northeast from that point to the area of Gary Drive and Sauer Road. In that location, multiple buildings had uprooted shallow rooted trees fall onto them. Additional damage was found on Sisson Highway with roof damage to a structure. Further damage occurred with total destruction of multiple farm buildings on East Eden Road before the tornado abruptly ended."

With this recent update from the National Weather Service, it makes the Eden tornado the strongest tornado to touch down in Western New York on Wednesday.

The same storm that swept through Eden dropped three other tornados as part of the remnants of Hurricane Beryl sweeping through the region. The other tornados touched down in the Town of Arkwright (Chautauqua County), Town of Aurora (Erie County) and the Town of Darien (Genesee County).

Remarkably, no major injuries were reported with any of the four confirmed tornados to touch down on Wednesday.
