Buffalo Woman Admits to Filing False Tax Return, Faces Prison Time
(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, N.Y. – U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today that Maureen Holleran, 61, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara to filing a false tax return, which carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Western New York’s second Chuck E. Cheese location will open by year-end. The children’s entertainment center chain is expected to open in November or December of this year at Delaware Consumer Square, 2638 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, according to a CEC Entertainment spokesperson. A University at Buffalo researcher’s analysis of 55 years of statements made by perpetrators of mass shootings could provide a foundation for developing messaging designed to prevent violence and reduce the potential for copycats. The study published last month in the journal Communication Monographs demonstrates that shooters’ grievances can be classified and mapped in ways to determine a degree of predictability, explanation, and control.
