Granddaughter Maura called from Minneapolis today to share what she was looking at while she was on vacation- Spoonbridge and Cherry. Earlier this year Maura did a school report on Oldenburg for Art Class and we had looked at some of Oldenburg’s public art sculpture online and discussed locations where they could be viewed.

Pop-up storms possible Monday, Tuesday before better weather returns
MINNEAPOLIS — Things will stay unsettled for the next couple of days before more favorable weather returns.Expect pop-up storms on Monday in the afternoon and evening hours, with spells of sunshine and clouds as well. Highs will be in the lower 80s.Tuesday will also bring a chance of storms, mostly in the morning hours. Then, things start to dry out and some sunshine makes its way in. Highs will be similar to Monday's.As we head into midweek, high pressure starts to move in, allowing for smoother weather, temperatures in the lower 80s and sunshine.We'll get slightly warmer by the end of the week, with highs returning to the upper 80s by the weekend.

RUSHFORD – “If you take anything away from this presentation today, it’s this: get your well tested,” Tannie Eshenaur told southeast Minnesotans earlier this summer. Eshenaur, the Water Policy Center Manager at the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), spoke to private well owners at a June Nitrate Open House – part of its education and outreach efforts related to groundwater pollution in southeast Minnesota. The meeting was held at the Rushford-Peterson school; additional meetings were held recently in Stewartville, Mazeppa and online.
Northern Minnesota Faces Potential Severe Storms Today, Small Hail
Duluth, MN – Northern Minnesota is bracing for potential severe weather today, with showers and thunderstorms expected to develop throughout the region. According to the US National Weather Service Duluth, there is a 50-90% chance of thunderstorms, some of which may be strong with small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall. High temperatures will range from 72 to 82 degrees.
