Chowan sheriff arrests Edenton man on gun, drug charges

Tyshiem Lavon Harris, 19, of the 200 block of Freemason St., Edenton, was arrested April 24 and charged with misdemeanor engaging in a riot. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Robert Alan Schwarm, age not listed, of the 300 block of Oneida Trail, was served a warrant for arrest and taken into custody. A $270 bond was issued.

Eli Samuel Resnick, 100 block of Emperor Landing Road, Edenton, was served with a misdemeanor warrant April 4 for charges in Martin County.

Jasmine Mon’e Copeland, of the 3400 block of Rocky Hock Road, Edenton, was issued a misdemeanor criminal summons for an unspecified charge on April 4.

Aaryon Tyshawn Ward, of the 100 block of West Peterson St., Edenton, was served an order of commitment and confinement on April 5. Ward was ordered to pay $1,000 or spend 30 days at the Chowan County Detention Center for failure to pay child support. A $1,000 secured bond was set.

Torrence Ronel Brock, 21, of the 400 block of Mexico Road, was served a warrant from the state of Maryland on April 8. No bond was set.

Diamond Jewel Dillard, 28, of the 300 block of Roanoke Trail, Edenton, was arrested April 13 and charged with carrying a concealed gun, drug and narcotics violations, and simple possession of a controlled substance. A secured $1,500 bond was set.

Priscilla Ann Privott, of the 1300 block of Sandy Terrace Road in Edenton, was arrested April 22 and charged with driving with a revoked license, an expired registration or tag, and failure to appear in court as required. A secured $4,000 bond was set.

Austin Dean Overton, of the 1300 block of Beach Springs Road, Edenton, was served with a criminal summons for simple assault on April 22.

Gary Steven Duggan, of the 800 block of Summer Road, Edenton, was arrested April 25 and charged with misdemeanor simple assault. A $1,000 unsecured bond was set.

Dequwan Cordell Gilliam, of the 200 block of Tyler Road, Edenton, was arrested April 26 and charged with driving while license revoked. A $4,000 secured bond was set.

Jesse Wayne Holt, of the 1000 block of Macedonia Road in Edenton, was served a warrant for an offense in another jurisdiction on April 28. A secured $4,000 bond was set.
