E-Chowan Partnership to get $40K LEAF grant

The Edenton-Chowan Partnership will receive more than $40,000 in Golden LEAF funding for a “due diligence” project at the Edenton-Chowan Airport Industrial Park.

The Rocky Mount-based Golden LEAF Board of Directors agreed at its June meeting last week to award a total of $266,100 to six SITE Program-Due Diligence projects across the state. The Edenton-Chowan Partnership will get a $40,400 grant for a project at the industrial park.

According to a press release, SITE Program-Due Diligence grant funds can be used to complete due diligence activities like environmental assessments, archaeological analyses, and mapping.

The $266,100 in SITE Program-Due Diligence funding was part of the $14.2 million in Golden LEAF funding the board approved across five programs.
