Crimewatch: Edenton police make arrests for FTA

Edenton Police

Jan Maurice Bonner, 43, of the 100 block of Thick Neck Road, was arrested July 1 and charged with failure to appear in court. A $500 secured bond was set.

Bryan Thomas Hurdle, 48, of the 800 block of Johnston St., Edenton, was arrested July 7 and charged with misdemeanor larceny. A $1,000 unsecured bond was set.

Charles Riddick Jr., 37, address unknown, was arrested June 29 and charged with misdemeanor assault on a female.

Michael Ernest Overton Jr., 48, of the 500 block of Rockfish Drive, Edenton, was arrested July 6 and charged with failure to appear in court as required. A $260 secured bond was set.

Chowan Sheriff

Maurice Armstead, 41, of the 400 block of Center Hill Road, Tyner, was arrested July 7 and served indictments for felony selling cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and delivering cocaine. A secured $45,000 bond was set.

Erma Turner Phillips, 73, of the 500 block of Rocky Hock Road, Edenton, was arrested July 12 and charged with misdemeanor stalking and trespassing. A $10,000 unsecured bond was set.

William Arthur Ross, 73, of the 200 block of Montpelier Drive, was arrested July 12 and charged with misdemeanor stalking. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Hugh Alan Pepper, 72, of the 100 block of Bella Vista Drive, was arrested July 10 and charged with misdemeanor stalking. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.
